SCYNEXIS Appoints Lawrence Hoffman as Interim Chief Financial Officer

SCYNEXIS, Inc. is a biotechnology company. It is pioneering medicine to overcome and prevent difficult-to-treat and drug-resistant infections. It develops antifungal platform fungerps, a novel class of antifungal agents called triterpenoids, that are structurally distinct glucan synthase inhibitors and have generally shown in vitro and in vivo activity against a range of human fungal pathogens, such as Candida and Aspergillus genera, including multidrug-resistant strains, and Pneumocystis, Coccidioides, Histoplasma and Blastomyces genera and common mucorales species. The United States Food and Drug Administration approved BREXAFEMME for treatment of patients with vulvovaginal candidiasis, also known as vaginal yeast infection, and for the reduction in the incidence of recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis.
