Sharp Corporation provided earnings guidance for the fiscal year 2016. For the year, Sharp expects to be in the red for the third straight year on the bottom line, with a group net loss of ¥27.1 billion, although the figure is far better than its fiscal 2015 net loss of ¥255.9 billion. The company now projects a recurring profit of ¥9.9 billion for the fiscal year 2017 against its previous forecast of a loss of ¥200 million. In fiscal 2015, it suffered a recurring loss of ¥192,460 million.
