Simply, Inc. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended July 31, 2021. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was USD 19.305 million compared to USD 17.650 million a year ago. Operating loss was USD 2.132 million compared to USD 1.922 million a year ago. Net loss was USD 2.107 million compared to USD 1.977 million a year ago. Basic loss per share was USD 0.18 compared to USD 0.18 a year ago. For the half year, sales was USD 37.323 million compared to USD 31.593 million a year ago. Operating loss was USD 4.373 million compared to USD 4.553 million a year ago. Net loss was USD 3.759 million compared to net income of USD 8.361 million a year ago. Basic loss per share was USD 0.32 compared to basic earnings per share of USD 0.93 a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was USD 0.32 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of USD 0.96 a year ago.
Simply, Inc. has filed a voluntary petition for relief under the provisions of Chapter 7 of Title 11 of the United States Code. The Company's wholly owned subsidiary Simply Mac, Inc. has separately commenced bankruptcy proceedings by filing a voluntary petition for relief under the provisions of Chapter 7 of the Bankruptcy Code. The assets of the Company shall be liquidated in accordance with the Bankruptcy Code. The Company has no business operations.
