Soda Sanayii A.S. completed the acquisition of Mersin cogeneration power plant from Camis Elektrik Uretim for approximately TRY 340 million.

Soda Sanayii AS is a Turkey-based company engaged in the production and distribution of soda ash and chromium chemicals. The Soda plant produces heavy soda ash, light soda ash, technical and food grade sodium bicarbonate and sodium silicate serve to a range of industrial sectors, such as glass, detergents, chemicals, paper, textile, food and animal feed. The Kromsan Plant is the supplier of leather, metal plating and wood protection industries, as well as many others with its products, including sodium dichromate, basic chromium sulphate, chrome syntan and chromic acid. In February 2012, the Company acquired a cogeneration plant from Camis Elektrik Uretim AS. The Company is part of Sisecam Chemicals Group. The Company has equity investments in a number of other Sisecam Companies, including Denizli Cam Sanayii AS, Camis Elektrik Uretim AS, Oxyvit Kimya Sanayii ve Ticaret AS, Solvay Sisecam Holding AG and Sisecam Bulgaria Ltd.
