Zephyr, an open source project launched by the Linux Foundation, announced on Monday that STMicroelectronics has joined its program as a silver member.

The Zephyr project aims to develop a free, secure and easy-to-deploy and manage real-time operating system (RTOS) for connected and embedded devices.

As part of the design of its version 3.6, some twenty 'silver' members such as STMicroelectronics, Infineon and Texas Instruments will join forces with a dozen 'platinum' members such as Google, Intel, Meta, NXP and Qualcomm.
