Suminoe Textile Co. Ltd. announced earnings results for the six months ended November 2016. For the six months, the company announced net sales of JPY 47,335 million against JPY 48,863 million a year ago. Operating income was JPY 81 million against JPY 1,290 million a year ago. Net income attributable to owners of parent was JPY 23 million or JPY 0.31 per share against JPY 765 million or JPY 10.14 per share a year ago.
For the full year ending May 2017, the company expects to report net sales of JPY 95,400 million, operating income of JPY 1,540 million and profit attributable to owners of parent of JPY 740 million.
For the full year ending May 2017, the company expects to pay mid dividend of JPY 3.5 per share compared to JPY 3.0 per share paid a year ago.
For the fiscal year ending May 2017, the company expects to pay year-end dividend of JPY 3.50 per share compared to JPY 3.5 per share paid a year ago.

The Interior segment is engaged in the manufacture, sale and decoration of carpets, curtains, wallpaper, various flooring materials, among others. The Automobile and Vehicle Interior segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of interior materials such as automobiles, buses, railway vehicles and aircraft. The Functional Material segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of hot carpets and deodorant-related products. In addition, the Company is also engaged in test contracting business.
