Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd. revises earnings guidance for the full year ended December 31, 2022. The company now expects Sales of JPY 854,000 million, Operating profit of JPY 44,000 million, Net profit attributable to owners of parent of JPY 5,000 or JPY 40.82 against previous forecast of Sales of JPY 870,000 million, Operating profit of JPY 43,000 million, Net profit attributable to owners of parent of JPY 26,000 or JPY 212.25.
Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd. specializes in the design, manufacturing and marketing of industrial and construction equipment. Net sales break down by family of products as follows:
- construction equipment (29.3%): hydraulic excavators, cranes, road machinery, etc.;
- precision machinery (20.8%): molding machines by injection, electric injection molding machines, medical use cyclotrons, etc.;
