Summit Power Limited is a holding company of Summit Power International (SPI). The principal activity of the Company is to generate and supply electricity. The Company owns and operates 15 power plants at different locations in Bangladesh with a total installed capacity of 975.96 megawatts (MW). Its plants include Gazipur II Power Plant, Gazipur I Power Plant, Barisal Power Plant, Narayanganj Power Plant I, Narayanganj Power Plant II, Ashulia Power Plant II, Jangalia Power Plant, Rupganj Power Plant, Madhabdi Power Plant II, Maona Power Plant, Chandina Power Plant II, Ullapara Power Plant, Ashulia Power Plant I, Chandina Power Plant I and Madhabdi Power Plant I. It supplies electricity to Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) and Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (BREB). Its project which is under construction in Bangladesh is the Meghnaghat II, a dual-fuel CCGT GE H Class plant with a gross capacity of 590 MW of gas.
