Atlas Energy, L.P., is a limited partnership company focused on the production, transportation and processing of natural gas and oil. The Company's assets consist of its ownership interests in Atlas Resource Partners, L.P. (ARP), an independent developer and producer of natural gas, crude oil and natural gas liquids (NGL); Atlas Pipeline Partners, L.P. (APL), a midstream energy service provider engaged in natural gas gathering, processing and treating services in the Anadarko, Arkoma and Permian Basins located in the southwestern and mid-continent regions of the United States and in the Eagle Ford Shale play in south Texas; natural gas gathering services in the Appalachian Basin in the northeastern region of the United States; and NGL transportation services in the southwestern region of the United States; Lightfoot Capital Partners, L.P. and Lightfoot Capital Partners GP, LLC, entities which incubate new master limited partnerships (MLPs) and invest in existing MLPs.
