(Alliance News) - Team Internet Group PLC on Wednesday said it had commenced trading on the OTCQX Best Market.

The London-based internet services holding company, which develops and manages online marketplaces, announced that its shares are now available on the marketplace hosting more than 12,000 US and global securities.

The OTCQX enables over-the-counter trading of stocks in the US via a broker-dealer network rather than a centralised exchange. As trading starts, the company hopes to increase its international visibility and accessibility to capital.

Chief Executive Officer Michael Riedl said: "We reinforce our commitment to enhancing shareholder value and expanding our footprint in the US, a market that represents nearly 50% of our revenue...We recognise the importance of making our shares more accessible and appealing to US investors, and qualifying to trade on OTCQX is a strategic step in that direction."

Team Internet shares were up 0.4% to 141.40 pence each in London on Wednesday morning.
