The European Union has launched the 'You are EU' campaign aimed at Europeans, highlighting the core values of transformation rooted in concepts such as freedom, peace, solidarity, and the adoption of clean and independent energy sources.
These values align with Tecnicas Reunidas' commitment in each of its projects.
'You are EU' is an invitation to Europeans to join and collaborate in overcoming the challenges of the European Union, working together to build a cleaner and more sustainable future driven by energy production in Europe. This campaign serves as a reminder and a commitment message from the European Union to continue working towards a future of clean and local energy for the benefit of future generations.
As part of this campaign, the EU has introduced four slogans also linked to Tecnicas Reunidas' objectives:
'Unity, Security, and Renewable Energies': At TR, our goal is decarbonization, driving a gradual transition to renewable energies.
'Peace, Freedom, and Energy Independence': Reflects Tecnicas Reunidas' decision not to collaborate in countries in a state of war, aligning with the promotion of peace.
'Human Rights, Solidarity, and Clean Energy': At TR, we integrate the protection of human rights into all our activities and relationships with stakeholders, along with promoting clean energy.
'Democracy, Diversity, and Climate Protection': We contribute to environmental protection and the fight against climate change by developing technical solutions for sustainable and efficient plants, in line with the European Union's goals for complete decarbonization by 2050.
In line with the concept of 'You are EU,' the European Union launched the REPowerEU initiative in May 2022, emphasizing its support for energy savings, clean energy production, and diversification of its energy supply. Thanks to this strategy, EU citizens and businesses have been protected from energy shortages, and the transition to clean energy has been accelerated.
In the same year, Tecnicas Reunidas established its track business line, through which we are working to expedite the decarbonization process and minimize the impact on operations, facilitating the energy transition with the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and addressing their impact on climate change.
As a company, we connect with the European Union by highlighting our values in line with the idea of energy transformation and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), such as SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, and SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.
