Texas South Energy, Inc. announced that it has moved in the drilling rig and spudded the TXSO Richter Unit 1H well at its Wilinda Project in Wilson County, Texas. The Richter Unit well is a 5,000’+/- vertical depth horizontal Austin Chalk test well with a 4,350’+/- horizontal lateral. Texas South is the Operator of the well with a 25% working interest and currently has approximately 4,250 acres under lease in the area. The Wilinda Project overlies a previously “depleted” field which has already produced over 6 million barrels of oil from the Austin Chalk, Eagle Ford, Buda,Georgetown, and Edwards formations and is now targeting those same zones with current horizontal drilling techniques and “New Generation” high intensity frac completions at a vertical depth of approximately 5,000’.
