Reduction in Management Fees

The Board of The Baillie Gifford Japan Trust PLC announces that the Company's annual management fee payable to its Investment Managers and Secretaries, Baillie Gifford & Co Limited, will be reduced. With effect from 1 January 2019 the opening tier of 0.95% on the first £50m of net assets is being reduced to 0.75%. Thereafter, the annual management fee will be as follows: 0.75% on the first £50m of net assets, 0.65% on the next £200m of net assets and 0.55% for net assets in excess of £250m. The fee will continue to be calculated and paid on a quarterly basis.
