PROPOSED PRIVATE PLACEMENT OF NEW ORDINARY SHARES IN MALAYSIA SMELTING CORPORATION BERHAD ("MSC SHARES"), REPRESENTING NOT MORE THAN 5% OF THE TOTAL NUMBER OF ISSUED MSC SHARES (EXCLUDING TREASURY SHARES, IF ANY) ("PRIVATE PLACEMENT")
The Board of Directors of The Straits Trading Company Limited (together with its subsidiaries, the "Group") wishes to announce that the Group's subsidiary, Malaysia Smelting Corporation Berhad had, on 30 July 2021, announced (the "Announcement") that 20,000,000 MSC Shares had been issued pursuant to the Private Placement which marked the completion of the Private Placement.
A copy of the Announcement is attached.
