Flynn Restaurant Group has entered into a franchise agreement with Wendy's to develop 200 units in Australia through 2034, according to a press release.

Flynn currently operates more than 2,600 restaurants generating $4.5 billion in sales. The group operates brands including Taco Bell, Panera, Applebee's, Arby's and Pizza Hut, as well as nearly 200 Wendy's restaurants across five states.

"We are excited to expand our international business, and developing Wendy's in Australia allows us not only to grow abroad with a valued U.S. partner but also to leverage the skills and resources of our team on the ground in Australia," Greg Flynn, founder, chairman and chief executive officer of Flynn Restaurant Group, said in the press release. "We look forward to bringing one of America's most iconic brands to the people of Oz."

Wendy's operates approximately 7,000 restaurants worldwide.
