Tower Property Fund Limited (JSE:TWR) plans to sell assets to reduce debt. Speaking after the release of the company's half-year results to November, Chief Executive Officer Marc Edwards said the company will try to dispose of noncore properties to strengthen its balance sheet. "It would be very difficult for a fund of our size to raise equity in order to ease our LTV. Selling assets is the best strategy we have to manage our LTV," Edwards said. He did not disclose the rand value of assets Tower would consider selling. Edwards said management's focus had been on ensuring that the company and its tenants weathered the crisis and navigated the second wave of the pandemic, while reducing portfolio risk by selling noncore assets in SA.
