TURBOATOM, On December 23, 2021, hydro unit No. 4 was put into commercial operation at Dniester PSPP, in the production of which "Ukrainian Energy Machines" JSC was directly involved.
With the startup of the fourth hydro unit, the power of the station reached 1296 MW in generator mode and 1684 MW in pumping mode, the press service of PJSC "Ukrhydroenergo" reports.
It is worth reminding that in August of this year, the startup of the fourth hydro unit took place with the participation of Prime Minister Denys Shmygal.
It is important that the introduction of the fourth hydro unit into commercial operation ensures a decrease in the number of run-ups of TPP units, which in turn will lead to savings in coal and gas, and will also contribute to the decarbonization of the Ukrainian economy.
It is worth noting that "Ukrenergymachines" for the first time the runner blade was cast using a unique technology - simultaneous casting of a flat dimensional part from two steel furnaces.
Additionally, according to the project, the station will consist of seven hydro units with a total capacity of 2268 MW, which puts it first in Europe and sixth in the world.
