On December 14-16, 2022, "Ukrenergymachines" JSC hosted a working visit of representatives of SE "NNEGC "Energoatom", SD "Khmelnytsky NPP", SD "Atomenergomash" and SD "Centralized Procurement".

The working group, headed by the Director for Production - Deputy Executive Director for Production and Repairs of SE "NNEGC "Energoatom" Dmytro Chaltsev, consisted of specialists from different areas.

The purpose of the visit was to assess the technical, design and production capabilities of the implementation by specialists of "Ukrenergymachines" JSC of contracts in the field of import substitution of equipment at nuclear power plants in Ukraine. The working group visited workshops 50, 53, 60, 68, 72 and 73, where they had the opportunity to get acquainted with the production capacities and capabilities of the enterprise. Also, the working group held meetings with representatives of the design and technology departments, the department of technical control, labor protection, and production.

According to acting General Designer of "Ukrenergymachines" JSC Oleksandr Burakov, the optimal solution is to replace Russian equipment at Ukrainian power plants with products from "Ukrenergymachines" JSC. "To solve this problem, our enterprise needs to go through several stages, one of which is the determination by the customer - State Enterprise "NNEGC Energoatom" - of the possibility of our enterprise upgrading or replacing the high-pressure cylinder of turbine K-1000-60/3000," - said Oleksandr Burakov. He also noted that such a practice, when the customer demonstrates a desire to personally check whether the manufacturing enterprise has everything necessary for the manufacture of products, is common.

The program of the visit was developed by the specialists of SE "NNEGC Energoatom". Oleksandr Burakov stressed that "Ukrenergymachines" JSC provided the customer with everything necessary to determine the ability of the enterprise to provide production (machinery and the availability of specialists with the necessary qualifications), design, technological, production capabilities and experience in implementation of similar projects, etc.

In particular, Oleksandr Burakov noted that "Ukrenergymachines" JSC has the necessary experience: "We demonstrated to the customer the manufactured high-pressure cylinder of turbine K-800 for Slovianska TPP (Ukraine), where we carried out the import substitution of Russian equipment. This is real work performed by our specialists Their qualification is also confirmed by the presence of a number of previously made turbines, in particular K-750 for Ignalina NPP (Lithuania), the production of working blades for turbines K-1000-60/3000 from titanium alloy was demonstrated to the customer, which showed high quality and reliability, confirmed by operation at the Khmelnytsky, Rivne, South Ukrainian nuclear power plants of Ukraine".

Gryhoriy Ishchenko, Chief Engineer of "Ukrenergymachines" JSC said that the meeting with representatives of the State Enterprise "NNEGC Energoatom" was productive. "In accordance with the audit program, the representatives of the working group were shown technical documentation in all areas. In particular, for mechanical assembly, procurement and welding and metallurgical production. Our specialists answered all the questions addressed by the working group," - he said.

In the process of inspecting the production capabilities in the workshops of the enterprise, the specialists of the State Enterprise "NNEGC Energoatom" were shown the defining equipment on which components and parts for the high-pressure cylinder are produced. "The working group was convinced of the ability of "Ukrenergymachines" JSC to carry out a full cycle of manufacturing turbine rotors of the required power: production of the turbine shaft, its assembling and processing before and after blading," - Grygory Ishchenko added.

Based on the results of the visit, a report will be drawn up, which should be presented at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, which will confirm the ability of "Ukrenergymachines" JSC to fulfill the tasks set by SE "NNEGC Energoatom".
