Operating highlights
U10's performance in the first half came in considerably above its target for results at breakeven that had been set in light of the bankruptcy filings of two of its top 10 customers.
Indeed, U10 was required to absorb the sharp reduction in sales and destock items destined for these key accounts.
Despite this incident, the company's profitability remains solid, with U10 generating an EBITDA margin of 3.5%.
Financial highlights
In light of the reduction in share capital resulting from the cancellation of own shares purchased and logistics investments, gearing mechanically increased from 27.3% to 42.3%.
With inventories having been built up to support higher sales volume, WCR is momentarily up 10%.
Outlook
U10's Decoration collections are being showcased at a series of trade shows. After the exhibition in Paris at the Maison et Objets trade show, U10 will set up its stand in Milan and Madrid in the 2ndhalf of September and will be an exhibitor at the Canton World Fair at the end of October.
U10's permanent business development focus will transform this downturn into
renewed growth by 2018.

The group's offer is based primarily on a positioning in the interior design and home accessories universe, on the form of trendy items adapted according to the seasons and marketed in large quantity in the mass market. The group's first feature lies in the design of range. A range is a line of end products coordinated around a theme, designed for presentation through a self-service corners concept in the distributors' stores.
