On Thursday, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) unveiled the 45 new stores in the extension to its Westfield CNIT shopping center in La Défense, adjacent to the new RER E station.

With this inauguration, the complex will offer over 9,000 m2 of additional retail space, including brands such as Yann Couvreur Café, Pierre Hermé, Carrefour City, Foot Locker, KFC and Starbucks.

The project, which began restructuring in 2020, was born of the opportunity associated with the construction, beneath the building, of a station designed as part of the EOLE project.

The extension of the RER E to the west of the Paris region, as far as Mantes-La-Jolie, should eventually result in traffic of almost 70,000 commuters per day.

With this third level, the Westfield CNIT will now cover almost 37,400 m2 of retail space.
