CHICAGO (AP) — CHICAGO (AP) — United States Cellular Corp. (USM) on Friday reported fourth-quarter earnings of $14 million.

On a per-share basis, the Chicago-based company said it had profit of 16 cents.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was breakeven on a per-share basis.

The wireless telecommunications service provider posted revenue of $1 billion in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $970.2 million.

For the year, the company reported profit of $54 million, or 63 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $3.91 billion.
