Universal Technical Institute, Inc. announced that Christopher Kevane has joined the company as senior vice president, chief legal officer. Kevane will have oversight of all UTI's legal, compliance and regulatory functions. As the newest member of the senior leadership team, he will help guide the company's work to develop new organic and inorganic growth opportunities, optimize its real estate footprint and transform the student experience. He will report to Jerome Grant, chief executive officer. Kevane has more than 20 years of legal experience, with expertise in legal strategy, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance and risk management. For nearly a decade, he served as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary for Rural Metro Corporation, a leading national provider of first responder services.
Universal Technical Institute, Inc. is a workforce solutions provider of transportation, skilled trades and healthcare education programs. Its segments include Universal Technical Institute (UTI) and Concorde Career Colleges (Concorde). UTI segment operates 16 campuses located in nine states and offers a range of degree and non-degree transportation and skilled trades technical training programs under brands, such as Universal Technical Institute, Motorcycle Mechanics Institute and Marine Mechanics Institute, NASCAR Technical Institute, and MIAT College of Technology.
