Validian Corp. announced that it has entered into collaboration with Prevently Inc. for the security of its online digital health platform and mHealth solutions to be fully launched in first quarter of 2014. Prevently's online health platform helps people live a healthy lifestyle through five main components.

The first is educational health content in the form of short articles and videos. Prevently licenses a portion of this consumer health content from Harvard Medical School. The second component is an ecommerce portal that enables users to purchase healthy food, wearable fitness devices, and other health products.

The third is a HIPAA compliant telemedicine portal that enables users to book video consultations with wellness coaches. The fourth is a personal health record that contains data from wearable fitness devices, blood test results, genetic test results, and the patient's mobile-based food diary. The personal health record sends notifications to the patient's wellness coach if unhealthy behavior is detected such as lack of exercise or poor sleep quality.

The goal is to prevent and treat chronic disease via an online platform and mobile health app. The last component is a social networking portal that allows users to work towards health goals with other users.
