Michael Reininger is returning to Brightline, this time to lead the transit system's new holding company, Brightline Holdings. Brightline appointed Reininger, who left the company in 2018, as CEO of Brightline Holdings. In his new role, he will oversee the high-speed rail's expansion in both Florida and the West Coast. Brightline President Patrick Goddard will continue to lead the company's Florida operations and commercial efforts, while Sarah Watterson will remain Brightline's chief development officer, as well as president of Brightline West. Reininger in 2012 joined the company, then known as All Aboard Florida, as president and chief development officer, overseeing the development of its first stations. Prior to his time at Brightline, Reininger worked to deliver projects for the Walt Disney Co., including several resort hotels and the launch of the Disney Cruise Line. After he left Brightline, he became CEO at Saudi Arabia-based Qiddiya Investment Co., developing a massive entertainment and sports complex that will span over 8,000 acres when completed in 2030.
