Appointment of new director

Volex, the global supplier of complex assemblies for performance critical applications and power products, is pleased to confirm that following his election at its Annual General Meeting today, Jeffrey Jackson has been appointed as a non-executive director of the Company, effective immediately.

A former Global Category Manager for Smith & Nephew plc, Jeffrey Jackson is currently employed as Transitions Leader at Meggitt plc and will bring additional expertise in operations and supply chain management to the Board.

Executive Chairman Nat Rothschild welcomed the appointment:

'I am delighted to welcome Jeffrey to the board of the Company and look forward to working with him as we build on Volex's recent success and continue to deliver on our business strategy. He will bring valuable operational experience to the Company and additional oversight to the work of the Board.'

Jeffrey Marc Jackson, aged 67, has not been a director or partner in any company or partnership in the last five years, and there is no other information that needs to be disclosed under AIM Rule 17 and Schedule 2(g). He does not currently own any shares in the Company.
