Watawala Plantations PLC Appoints Mr. Mohamed Thanveer Siddique as an Alternate Director to Mr. Khoon Hong Kuok

Watawala Plantations PLC is engaged in cultivation, manufacture and sale of crude palm oil and dairy farming. The Company is also involved in manufacturing of value-added products. The Company’s segments include Palm Oil, Dairy, and Others. The Company also produces compost using the large volumes of cattle slurry generated by the dairy farm. Its main products include Crude Palm Oil and Palm Kernel Oil. Its Palm kernel cake is a by-product of the palm kernel oil extraction process. Its cinnamon product portfolio consists of Cinnamon chips - off grade, Cinnamon oil and Cinnamon Cut Quills. It produces a liquid fertilizer using cattle slurry enriched in microbes. Its subsidiary, Watawala Dairy Ltd, manages a herd of 1, 600 dairy cattle (1000 adult cows and 600 heifers). Out of the total cattle, 800 are milking cows, and 200 are dry cows.
