Forest Investment Associates L.P. entered into an agreement to acquire 69,600 Acres in Upstate South Carolina from Weyerhaeuser Company (NYSE:WY) for approximately $170 million.

Weyerhaeuser Company specializes in the manufacture and marketing of wood products. Net sales break down by family of product as follows: - wood products (73.7%): boards, panels, profiles, etc. The group is also involved in construction material distribution; - forestry products (21.6%): trees, logs, woodchips, etc. The remaining net sales (4.7%) are from management and exploitation of forestry and natural resources assets activities. Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: the United States (86%), Canada (7.5%), Japan (3.9%), China (1.5%), Korea (0.4%) and other (0.7%).
