WH Smith PLC announced group sales results for the 21 weeks to January 21, 2017. The group has delivered a strong performance over the 21 week period with total sales up 2% and like-for-like sales up 1%.

As a result of the performance in Travel the company expects group profit growth for the year to be slightly ahead of plan.
