Yue Da Mining Holdings Limited announced that it is expected that the unaudited results of the Group for the six months ended 30 June 2014 may experience a loss, but such loss will be less than the loss for the six months ended 30 June 2013. Based on the information currently available, the Board considers that the main reasons for such decrease in loss include that: the Group has made an impairment loss of RMB 135,983,000 for the six months ended 30 June 2013 in relation to certain zinc and lead mines in Yunnan and Shannxi provinces. However, no impairment loss of zinc and lead is provided for the six months ended 30 June 2014; and the effect in (i) above is partly offset by the substantial decrease in revenue during the six months ended 30 June 2014 due to (a) the decrease in the price of gold and iron; (b) the production of certain subsidiaries of the Company were temporarily reduced for technology improvement and optimisation of production process; and (c) temporary and short suspension of Tengchong Ruitu Mining and Technology Company Limited, a subsidiary of the Company, during the six months ended 30 June 2014 due to rainy season and reconstruction of electricity network nearby.
