China Telecom collaborates with ZTE to complete the world's first live network verification of the 800G OTN pluggable solution

ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a global leading provider of information and communication technology solutions, announced today that it has successfully completed the world's first live network verification of the 800G 16QAM pluggable module computing power interconnection solution in collaboration with China Telecom's Beijing Branch. This breakthrough technological achievement will significantly enhance the network transmission capacity of Internet Data Centers (IDCs), laying solid foundation for the development of the global computing power internet.

The verification of the transmission services on live networks spans multiple data centers in Beijing and Hebei province. The verification of the 400G and 800G mixed transmission has been completed, with the services successfully launched and running smoothly.

The main capability of this solution benefits from the innovative application of the 800G 16QAM high-performance module. Firstly, it provides a transmission rate of up to 800 Gbps and a system capacity of up to 64T, meeting the increasing data transmission requirements.Secondly, it's 50% smaller than fixed modules and reduces power consumption per Gbit by 68%, occupying less footprint space, doubling the port density of boards, and significantly reducing overall system power consumption. This design conforms to the trend of high-density IDC environment optimization and meets the strategic needs of operators for developing low-carbon and green optical networks. Additionally, the pluggable design facilitates fault maintenance.
