FORT WORTH, Texas , March 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- American Airlines announced the promotion of key individuals as the airline invests in leadership resources for its Customer Service team.   

Cedric Rockamore - Vice President, Philadelphia
Cedric Rockamore has been promoted to Vice President and will oversee operations at American's hub in Philadelphia (PHL). He joined the airline in 2010 as Director of Ramp Services for PHL and was promoted to Managing Director of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) in early 2014. In his role at DCA, Rockamore led a team responsible for the integration of American and US Airways operations, including innovations to drive significant improvements in customer experience and operational performance.  He earned his Bachelor of Science and MBA degrees from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and served for 10 years in the United States Navy.

Rockamore will report to Joe Taney , Vice President - Hubs and Gateways, who will take on a larger role overseeing American's operations in Charlotte (CLT), Philadelphia (PHL), Phoenix (PHX), Washington, D.C. (DCA), New York (LGA and JFK) and Los Angeles (LAX), as these key areas prepare for the significant changes that come with integrating technology platforms and operational systems. Taney previously served as Vice President - Philadelphia .

Tim Ahern , Vice President - Hubs will continue leading American's hubs in Chicago (ORD), Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) and Miami (MIA), closely managing the implementation of peak bank schedules, which will provide better connections for customers and will transform the way these hubs operate. Taney and Ahern will report directly to Kerry Philipovitch , Senior Vice President - Customer Experience.

Patricia Hollinrake - Managing Director, DCA 
Patricia Hollinrake will assume the role of Managing Director of American's hub at DCA.  She currently oversees stations in the southeast region and brings 26 years of experience to her new role after holding leadership positions with American in Airport Customer Service, Inflight Services and Cargo.

American Airlines and US Airways merged in December 2013 to become the world's largest airline.
