Changes in the Representative Directors
Following the recommendation of the Nominating Committee, and approval at the meeting of the Board of Directors held today, Asahi Glass Co., Ltd. (the Company) hereby announces the following changes in its Representative Directors as described below.
1. Reason of the changes
In order to further strengthen the Company's corporate governance structure, the following changes have been made.
- Kazuhiko Ishimura, current Representative Director, will become Director & Chairman without representative rights of the Company.
- Yoshinori Hirai, current Director will become Representative Director, Executive Vice President, and CTO.
- Shinji Miyaji, current Director will become Representative Director, Executive Vice President, CFO, and CCO.
