CREDIT AGRICOLE : Press release Crédit Agricole SA : APPOINTMENT P. Célérier

Pascal Célérier is to be appointed Deputy Managing Director of Crédit Agricole S.A. in charge of Operations and Transformation. He will replace Michel Mathieu, Deputy Managing Director in charge of Retail Banking Subsidiaries, who has been in charge of Operations and Transformation on an interim basis. Mr Célérier's appointment will take effect on 4 April 2016 and he will join the Executive Committee.

Biography

Pascal Célérier has spent his entire career with the Crédit Agricole group. He joined the Loiret Regional Bank in 1977, later becoming head of marketing, before moving to the Haute Savoie Regional Bank as head of marketing and finance. In 1991, he was appointed Deputy Chief Operating Officer of Crédit Agricole de la Haute Saône and du Territoire de Belfort and then Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole de Franche Comté. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Vendée Regional Bank in 1995, then of the Loire Atlantique Regional Bank and, in 2002, of the merged Atlantique Vendée Regional Bank.

He has been CEO of Crédit Agricole de Paris et d'Ile-de-France since 2004. He has also held important national positions, including Deputy Secretary General of the Fédération Nationale du Crédit Agricole, director of SAS Rue La Boétie and director of Crédit Agricole S.A.

Pascal Célérier is 62 years old and is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris, with a Master's degree in business law and a postgraduate degree in accounting.
