Stockholm and me Convention - a perfect match

According to a study by the 'Social Progress Imperative' organisation from 2016, the Scandinavian countries are among those with the highest quality of life anywhere in the world. (Source: https://bit.ly/2Hyzeg7 - only available in German). Some of the Nordic advantages include a high level of education, stable social conditions, a modern economy and high satisfaction of citizens. Sweden - and especially its capital, Stockholm - stand for modernity, social and technological progress and innovation. For example, Scandinavian design has long been a source of inspiration for people around the globe. Such a setting is an ideal fit with me Convention, which aims to provide thought-provoking discussions on the future inspiring people to #createthenew.

About me Convention

The me Convention theme is #createthenew. It provides an open and inspiring platform for creative people from different fields and has a clear focus on dialogue, interaction, networking and entertainment. It addresses key themes on the shaping of the future:

  • New Society: Modern societies are continuously changing. What will their values be? How will technology influence us, and the spaces between us? And how do we guarantee fairness and justice?
  • New Leadership: Traditional leadership styles and models are increasingly being replaced. Greater freedom, exchange and trust are leading to more productivity, efficiency, flexibility and innovation within companies.
  • New Economies: Along with society, the economy, too, is undergoing deep changes. Technical innovations are emerging on an almost daily basis. The world is being transformed by new business models, digital cryptocurrencies and Big Data.
  • New Creativity: New visions for contemporary culture are emerging. Fuelled by innovative concepts and approaches, the creative arts provide powerful tools to explore critical observations about ourselves and our environment.
  • New Bionomics: As relationships between individuals and the environment become more complex, so wellbeing - for humans and our ecosystems - grows in importance. The solutions lie in technology, culture, and in nature itself.
