moovel: the best way from A to B

moovel finds the best way from A to B: the moovel mobility platform enables customers to conveniently compare various mobility options such as public transport, car- and bikesharing, taxi or lift sharing with each other in relation to journey time and cost.

Available free of charge for Android and iOS, the smartphone app and the website bring together the offerings of various mobility service providers. This results in a transparent and intelligent mobility network. moovel covers both local public transport and independent travel and compares connections in terms of time required and cost. The app allows users to find the best way to get from A to B quickly and clearly from a large number of mobility options. moovel integrates booking and payment for journeys with Deutsche Bahn and mytaxi. Use is not restricted to towns and cities: there is an urban route planner with timetable information for local public and long-distance transport.

Daimler's Business Innovation unit in Stuttgart launched moovel as a pilot project in 2012. Its services can now be used throughout Germany. For the cities of Berlin, Stuttgart and Munich, and the Nuremberg and the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan regions there is also even more detailed information available about local public transport.

car2go - the quick-hire smart in 30 locations worldwide

moovel helps customers get ahead - using the flexible car2go mobility offering customers can rent a smart car spontaneously at any time and at the end of their journey park it anywhere within the relevant designated area.

The customer locates vehicles using their smartphone or computer and only pays for the hire time, which is calculated by the minute. Parking charges, fuel costs, taxes and insurance are all included. As well as being kind on your wallet, the environment also benefits - after all, the smart fortwo is an exceptionally ecofriendly vehicle. What is more, car2go also has electric vehicles in selected cities. The pioneer in flexible mobility concepts is thus giving people the opportunity to experience electric mobility for themselves.

The global market leader in car sharing currently has over one million customers and is available in 30 locations and 8 countries in Europe and North America.
