E.ON has gained an important pilot customer for the conversion of commercial vehicle fleets to electric mobility in Sweden. Taxi Stockholm is gradually adapting its fleet to environmentally friendly cars and has purchased and deployed 30 electric Renault Zoe cars. E.ON provides and installs the charging infrastructure and supplies renewable energy to Taxi Stockholm.

E.ON developed the project together with the customer, taking into account the special requirements of a taxi company and the need to charge vehicles both quickly during the day and more slowly overnight. In addition, E.ON provides preferential pricing to its public charging locations throughout the city of Stockholm.

'The cooperation with Taxi Stockholm is a further building block for our goal of advancing electro mobility in Europe. With our comprehensive range of products and services, we enable companies to convert their vehicle fleets cost-effectively and conveniently to green mobility. This enables companies to reduce their costs, offer their customers innovative and environmentally friendly solutions and contributes to climate protection,' says Frank Meyer, Head of B2C Solutions and Innovation at E.ON.

In Sweden, E.ON sees a strong increase in demand for electric mobility and has been expanding its public charging infrastructure there since last year.
