Marion Harris has been named vice president, Mobility Business Group, Ford Motor Company. In this role, he is responsible for scaling the company's existing mobility businesses, including Ford Commercial Solutions; Ford's microtransit businesses including Chariot and the non-emergency medical transportation unit; Ford Pass and digital services, including those supporting autonomous vehicle businesses and personal vehicle ownership; and future businesses developed within the Mobility team.

Prior to this role, Harris served as chief financial officer and treasurer, Ford Motor Credit Company, with responsibility for financial planning, analysis and accounting operations. He worked closely with Ford Motor Company's Treasury team on funding and liquidity initiatives and maintained relationships with financial analysts and rating agencies.

During his time in this role, Harris was integral in the development of Ford Credit's strategies for smart insurance and financial technology solutions, including the December 2016 acquisition of Canvas. Canvas offers month-to-month subscriptions for off-lease Ford and Lincoln vehicles in the San Francisco Bay area as well as in West Los Angeles, and is a key enabler supporting Ford Smart Mobility.

Additionally, Harris serves on the board, and as audit committee chairman, of FordDirect, a joint venture between Ford and dealers that provides digital marketing and advertising solutions to Ford and Lincoln dealers.

Harris has been with Ford since 1999 and has held numerous roles in Treasury and Finance. As assistant treasurer for Ford, he was responsible for global capital markets and funding, including for Ford Credit, as well as bank relationships. He also served as director of securitization, responsible for Ford Credit global securitization funding.

Prior to joining Ford, Harris held treasury positions at outside banks, including Crestar Bank and First USA Bank. He began his career as a consultant and advisor to Nelson Bunker Hunt, where he evaluated venture capital opportunities in oil and gas, mining, and foreign trade.

Harris holds bachelor's and master's degrees in mathematics from Mississippi State University.
