Appointment of Non-Executive Director

Hornby Plc, the international models and collectibles group, is pleased to announce that James Wilson has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director, with immediate effect.

James is a partner at Phoenix Asset Management which controls the funds that own 71.5% of the ordinary shares of Hornby Plc. James has a Master's degree in engineering from Durham University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

David Adams, Interim Chairman said,

'I welcome James to the Board, which continues Phoenix' long term representation on it and I look forward to working with him.'

James Wilson, aged 31, is currently a partner at Phoenix Asset Management and does not hold any other directorships. James holds no shares in the Company but has an interest in the Phoenix UK Fund which owns 22.8% of the ordinary shares of the Company. Accordingly, James has an indirect beneficial interest in the ordinary shares of the Company. James acquired his interest in the Phoenix UK Fund on the same terms as any other investor and does not control how the shares in the Company, owned by Phoenix UK Fund, are voted.
