On the heels of our previous announcement, in which Liangping Ma's and Ed Ehrlich earned new leadership positions in the mobile industry, InterDigital is delighted to continue the streak of recognized engineers in Behrouz Aghili.
A little over two weeks ago, Behrouz, a principal engineer in our Melville office, was elected vice-chair of the CT plenary, which oversees the work of all CT, a very important working group in the 3GPP standards-setting organization. CT stands for the 'Core Network and Terminals' Technical Specification Group, and is responsible for defining the interfaces/protocols within the core network and between the core network and terminal devices - what's called the NAS layer. The other elected officials to the CT plenary are representatives from Huawei, Deutsche Telekom and NTT Docomo, so as always we're in tremendous company.
This is an excellent accomplishment, and we'd like to congratulate all the engineers who have recently been selected as leaders in the industry, as well as all our folks in standards research who were able to work hard to get these results. Thank you!
