As of yesterday, Dr Bernd Flohr (66) is the new Chairman of the Supervisory Board of pump and valve manufacturer KSB AG. The former Board of Management member responsible for Finance at Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik (WMF) succeeds Dr Thomas Seeberg, who had chaired the Supervisory Board since September 2015.

The Amtsgericht (Local Court) Ludwigshafen also appointed Monika Kühborth (56) and Oswald Bubel (66) to the Supervisory Board on
21 March to replace members who had stepped down earlier than planned.

At yesterday's meeting, the partially reconstituted Supervisory Board appointed Dr Matthias Schmitz (53) to the Board of Management of KSB AG with effect from 1 June 2017. He holds an integrated engineering / business administration degree and worked for KSB for nine years until 2002, most recently as Head of Controlling. Since then he has held leading positions at a number of German mechanical engineering companies, amongst other things as CFO.

Dr Schmitz will take over the responsibilities of Werner Stegmüller, who will be leaving the company at the end of May after three years on the Board of Management. The Supervisory Board also extended the appointment of long-standing Board of Management member and Human Resources Director Dr Peter Buthmann until the end of 2017.
