At this year's BrauBeviale trade fair KSB Aktiengesellschaft, Germany, is going to showcase the youngest generation of its hygienic Vitachrom single-stage close-coupled pump. It now features both the standard connection and, as an option, an 8-mm flexible tube connection for liquid supply to the mechanical seal. With its electropolished stainless steel surfaces and almost complete lack of dead volume the pump is very easy to clean by CIP/SIP. The type series is EHEDG-certified and all materials used comply with FDA and EN 1935/2004 standards. An ATEX-compliant version is available.

In Nuremberg, KSB is going to present its PumpMeter LSA for hygienic processes, which is based on its PumpMeter for general use. The device, which was introduced in 2010, shows at a glance whether a pump is running optimally or uses too much energy. The differences between PumpMeter LSA and the conventional PumpMeter are the sensors and the way they are installed in the pipe. The LSA version has been designed in accordance with all standard food industry regulations.

Visitors to the trade fair stand will have the opportunity to see the mobile app KSB Sonolyzer live in action. The pump manufacturer's app allows plant operators in the food and beverage industry to check their fixed-speed pumps for energy efficiency, the fast and easy way. The app indicates to the user whether optimising the hydraulic system or modifying the drive of the pump set checked can help save energy. KSB Sonolyzer is available for iOS and Android.

From its range of valves KSB is going to show gate valves, diaphragm valves and butterfly valves as well as Amtronic, the multi-functional pneumatic valve control unit, which is ideally suited for use in the beer and beverage industry. AMTRONIC incorporates functions ranging from simple open/close control of a pneumatic valve with open/closed position signalling to control tasks which are completed independently from a higher-level control station.

KSB is one of the few suppliers worldwide to offer a complete range of pumps and valves for hygienic applications and their support processes. The KSB stand at the fairgrounds has the number 129 and is situated in Hall H6.
