Personal Group was thrilled to assist Care England and ITN with their documentary which aims to provide a unified voice for the care and social care sector.

Currently Personal Group provides benefits to 18 health and social care organisations and has a good understanding of the care sector and its challenges. Due to this insight and the unique way in which Personal Group works, they were asked to take part.

Recruiting and retaining staff can be a challenge to the care sector and the benefits supplied by Personal Group can improve retention, engagement and morale. Making an employees pay packet go further, especially in times of austerity, is an important part of what Personal Group can offer within their benefit programme. Employees gain access to over 8,000 retail offers across a wide range of well-known high street brands offering savings on everything from groceries and clothes to white goods and holidays.

Health and wellbeing are also options which Personal Group supply. Employee Assistance Programmes offer counselling for those who need it, also very affordable, easy to use insurance products can be offered too which pay out when the policyholder requires a night in hospital.

As care sector workers may not be sat in front of a computer every day, it makes communicating with them more of a challenge as a group email simply won't reach them. This is where Personal Group's unique face-to-face method comes into its own. Every member of staff is offered the opportunity of a one-to-one meeting with a benefits expert. This allows the employee to ask any questions they may have and enables the benefit expert to tailor the programme to their individual needs.

Mark Scanlon, Chief Executive of Personal Group said: "This was a great opportunity for us to get behind a project which unifies the care sector. We were also pleased that our approach and benefits have been recognised by this industry. We work hard to develop our offering and to ensure every member of staff is seen individually. It's great to see that effort paying off."
