Announcement of Establishment of the "Tokyo Gas Living Holdings"Today, Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. (President: Mr. Michiaki Hirose, "Tokyo Gas") has determined to establish the holdings company, "Tokyo Gas Living Holdings Co., Ltd., ("TG Living HD")*1, in April, 2017, for supporting one of its businesses, "The service for the customers' life".
At the establishment, Tokyo Gas will transfer its equities regarding the business, Capty Co., Ltd., ("Capty"), Living Engineering Co., Ltd., ("Living Engineering"), and Tokyo Gas Remodeling Co., Ltd., ("TG Remodeling") to the TG Living HD.
Currently, Tokyo Gas Group is offering energy and the service related to the facility business related to the customers' life (Gas and housing equipment work, plumbing work, appliance sales and maintenance and house-reform, etc.) together with our affiliated companies and "Tokyo Gas Lifeval".
Tokyo Gas Group regard the business for making customers' life better as the "Living Service Business". Firstly, as the goals to strengthen and expand the business related to the facilities in customers' house ("total facility business"), we will launch the sole parent company of the above 3 companies to manage the business, such as planning its strategy and managing its risk, integrally and strengthen. And then, Tokyo Gas Group is offering the new value- added service for more comfortable customers' life.
To achieve the goals, "To evolve into the total energy business" and "To accelerate global business development", set in "Main Policies FY2015-2017" to realize the "Challenge 2020 Vision" released in October 2014, Tokyo Gas Group is "reconstructing the group itself" not to overlook creating new sources of earnings flow with the advancing centralization of the necessary management resources of personnel, technology and know-how.
*1 At this transfer, Tokyo Gas will receive the corporate shares of TG Living HD.
