West Elm announced today the opening of its third Nevada store in Downtown Summerlin®, bringing approximately 30 jobs to the master-planned community. The 11,032 square-foot retail location will open on Thursday, October 6 at 10 a.m.As part of West Elm’s LOCAL program, eight Nevada-based makers and designers will sell their products with the store’s holiday assortment of modern furnishings and décor. A complimentary design lab offering West Elm’s Style + Services will support customers in their journey to express their personal style at home. The store also includes Nevada-based artist Zac Bryson of Wildwood Supply Co.’s custom-designed cash wrap that uses salvaged wood geometrically arranged to evoke the area’s desert landscape.

“Summerlin by design is all about community, and we are thrilled to enter a market where we can be a creative hub to neighbors and visitors alike,” said West Elm president Jim Brett. “And as we continue to grow in Nevada, we are committed to making a positive impact, from supporting local artisans to expanding the job market.”

To celebrate the opening, West Elm partnered with Las Vegas-based artist Anna See to design a limited edition tote bag that will be presented to the first 300 shoppers with a $50 minimum purchase on opening day. Additional store opening activities will include a sweepstakes* offering local customers a chance to win a $2,000 gift card and an invitation to a private pre-opening celebration on Wednesday, October 5 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. A portion of the pre-opening celebration proceeds will benefit the Nevada SPCA, a local nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter encouraging people to be the best possible guardians for the animal companions in their care.

  • Haus of Reed: Cement planters and coasters blending traditional technique and modern style.
  • Laxalt & McIver: Modern prints designed by a Reno-based collective that evoke emotion and inspire creativity.
  • Pantry Products: Small-batch soaps that are all-natural and chemical free, blended-by-hand in Reno.
  • SparklePower: Wooden wall art from a husband & wife team in Las Vegas.
  • Tia Flores Calabaza Sculptures: A Reno-based artist whose rich ancestry inspires her sculpture.
  • Urbanwoodworx: Furniture and lighting designed with reclaimed wood in Las Vegas.
