3i's infrastructure business is leaving the firm to take up a senior post at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board. Cressida Hogg, the founder and current managing partner of 3i Infrastructure, will step down at the end of next month to take up the role at CPPIB, a person familiar with the matter announced on February 12, 2014. Hogg joined 3i, the UK's oldest private equity firm, in 1995 from JP Morgan, where worked in the private equity sector.

The company announced Phil White and Ben Loomes will be appointed comanaging partners to succeed Hogg, who was awarded a CBE in this year's honours list.
