DORTMUND (dpa-AFX) - There is a change at the top of the company at IT service provider Adesso. The supervisory board has appointed Mark Lohweber to succeed CEO Michael Kenfenheuer, who will leave at the end of 2023, Adesso announced in Dortmund on Thursday. Lohweber has been on the board since July 2023, according to the company, and is responsible for banking and insurance, as well as corporate account management and major subsidiaries. He has successively taken over Kenfenheuer's areas of responsibility, the statement added.

In addition, board member Dirk Pothen will also leave the management board prematurely at the end of the year. Adesso cited personal reasons for Pothen's decision. The manager has been on the board of the Dortmund-based SDax company since October 2018. Among other things, he was responsible for business with the industrial and automotive sectors, as well as the group divisions of marketing and communications. His tasks are to be distributed within the existing Executive Board team.

Adesso says it has around 9,000 employees and operates sites in Germany, as well as other European countries and Turkey./lew/jha/
