System Failure Caused by Unauthorized Access to AGC's U.S. Subsidiary

On December 15, 2023 (Japan time), we confirmed that our subsidiary AGC Automotive Americas (headquartered in Michigan, USA) received unauthorized access to its internal server by a third party.

Details are under investigation, but the following is what is known at this time.

1. Incident

AGC Automotive Americas, a company that primarily produces automotive glass, received unauthorized

access to its systems from an outside party. Currently, some of the U.S. subsidiary's systems have been disrupted, affecting its production and shipments.

   The cause and details of the damage are under investigation.
