BE Semiconductor Industries N.V. reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2023. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was EUR 123.32 million compared to EUR 168.78 million a year ago. Net income was EUR 35.04 million compared to EUR 57.31 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was EUR 0.45 compared to EUR 0.71 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was EUR 0.45 compared to EUR 0.69 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was EUR 419.23 million compared to EUR 585.15 million a year ago. Net income was EUR 122.19 million compared to EUR 200.49 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was EUR 1.57 compared to EUR 2.53 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was EUR 1.54 compared to EUR 2.4 a year ago.
BE Semiconductor Industries N.V. (Besi) specializes in the design, manufacturing and marketing of semiconductor assembly equipment for the global semiconductor and electronics industries. The group develops leading edge assembly processes and equipment for leadframe, substrate and wafer level packaging applications in a wide range of end-user markets including electronics, mobile Internet, computer, automotive, industrial, RFID, LED and solar energy.
Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: Ireland (7.5%), Europe (8.2%), China (35.5%), Malaysia (8.4%), Korea (7.3%), Taiwan (6.5%), Thailand ( 3.6%), Asia/Pacific (11.8%), United States (8.8%) and other (2.4%).
