Beiersdorf lost 3% in Frankfurt, after the cosmetics group published EPS of 3.24 euros for 2023, compared with 3.33 euros the previous year, despite an EBIT margin excluding exceptional items that improved by 0.2 points to 13.4%.

Sales reached a record 9.45 billion euros, up 10.8% organically (+7.4% in nominal terms), with growth in Nivea, derma and health products offsetting difficulties at La Prairie and Chantecaille.

A 43% increase in the 2023 dividend to one euro will be proposed, as well as share buybacks worth 500 million euros. For 2024, the Group is targeting mid-single-digit organic revenue growth, with a slightly higher EBIT margin.
