Big Screen Entertainment Group is developing a slate of original programming for its upcoming streaming service. The new television shows will complement the extensive library of movie titles to be made available on VOD platform Big Screen Streaming. Earlier this year BSEG announced it would be entering the streaming world by delivering direct to consumer content with a ROKU channel as well as a mobile and desktop portal, utilizing its film library plus that of partners and affiliates. The new shows – which will be wholly owned and created in-house – are aimed at multiple demographics with the goal of increasing market share. Shows in development: Hollywood Conspiracies, Campfire Stories, Comic Book Conflicts and a slate of unscripted entertainment-themed programming including film reviews and a movie talk show. The service will offer hundreds of movies to suit all demographics, and dozens of documentaries, with a focus on icons like Frank Sinatra, The Beatles, JFK, Marilyn Monroe and John Wayne.
